Lyrics

More Please More

Dark clouds hanging down so low…
Why they’re everywhere.
Was that a gunshot
Or just the sound of despair?
The world has been reeling
On a drunken tear,
And I’ve been having trouble remembering
What it’s like to care.

I still don’t know why I looked up
And saw them waiting for the train,
A weathered couple on the wooden bench
Huddled against the cold and rain.
I didn’t see at first,
That they were holding hands,
And each was the light in the others eyes
The way only lovers would understand.
What am I feeling?
I must be dreaming
Just what I’m needing.
More please more.

And then I saw a blind man give a flower
To a girl in the park.
She was sad and he could see it
I guess some are better at finding light in the dark.
And then there were these kids playing.
Just like the first leaves of spring,
They are shiny little souls,
Dancing the ring-a-ding.
What am I feeling?
I must be dreaming
Just what I’m needing.
More please more.

Now I’m seeing all these stars.
Burning like fireflies…
A million worlds
Lighting up the sky.
And there’s the moon, it’s circlin’ ‘round…
Such a crazy thing.
You know, sometimes you just can’t stop
After you begin.
What am I feeling?
I must be dreaming
Just what I’m needing.
More please more.

Clouds are hanging down so low…
Dark as they’ve ever been,
Except in the places where
A bit of light seeps in.
What am I feeling?
I must be dreaming
Just what I’m needing.
More please more.
What am I feeling?
I must be dreaming
Just what I’m needing.
More please more.
