It’s that time of the year
When the sun and moon

And shadow fills
All the spaces

This year seems so different
Something bad got mixed in

There’s a cat on my block
She’s been stealing shoes
They’re not something
That she can use
Is she just another cat
Not thinking it through

Calling out a song

Playing a part
Carrying on

Maybe there’ll be a future

So I’m left wondering what
Good I can do
The world is sad, but it’s
Beautiful too
And pretty good is pretty good
That’s still true
